Steve is a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) certified Instructor with over 6 years teaching experience. Steve has been riding for many years starting out on a friends mini bike when he was around 5 or 6 years old, Steve have been riding on and off ever since, for over 40 years now. Steve currently rides a 2003 Harley Davidson Road King and a 2005 Triumph Rocket 3. However he feels that if you are on two wheels it makes no difference as to what brand you ride, just ride. Steve thinks that everyone that rides should take a MSF class to see how to ride safely. Steve loves to see the student finally have things click and then comes that huge smile, he loves helping save lives. Steve has many other interests as well, he is the former President of Christian Tattoo Association, and is the Senior Pastor for Come As You Are Church in Kalamazoo. Please feel free to ask Steve any questions, by email or phone.

Tina Hightower has been into motorcycles for as long as she can remember, her Father used to take her for rides and taught her how to ride on the back of a motorcycle in a correct safe way. Tina currently rides a 2001 Harley Davidson Fat-boy, after riding a Harley Davidson Sportster for most of the 2007 season. Her Father asked her to take the Basic Riders Course and actually paid for her to take the class. After seeing how she rode as a relatively new rider, after passing both the written as well as the riding with 0 points off, Steve the Program Manager asked her if she was interested in becoming a Rider-coach for Michigan’s Safest Riders,. She agreed before he got the question out of his mouth, Tina went to Coach Prep in Saginaw and as a thank you to her Father she graduated Coach Prep on Fathers Day of this year, she did a great job. Tina cares a lot about the students she teaches and really enjoys taking someone from not knowing anything about a motorcycle or afraid of a motorcycle and teach them to be a safe comfortable rider. She is very patient and very good Coach and a true asset to Michigan’s Safest Riders. Tina spends a lot of time with her Family and her Grand Children.
