Hey Steve & Tina:
I remember you folks requested that if any graduates of the safest riders class take a trip we email pictures. Please find attached pictures from a four day trip (July 26th - 30th) Jeremy and I took in Northern Michigan up to Sault Ste Marie and down to Elk Rapids. We were in Mackinaw City for the Saturday night 50th birthday celebration of the Mighty Mac.
Jeremy road my Road King and I rented a Heritage Softtail from Northwoods Harley in Gaylord. The first day we went from Gaylord over to Charlevoix, Petosky, Harbor Springs and through the Tunnel of Trees. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. Had a great lunch at Legs Polish restaurant and then headed up to Sault Ste. Marie. Crossing the bridge was really something. The railing is about tank high, so you can look right over the side. The first time was a little nerve racking, but boy it was exciting. We had a wonderful time. Last father and son thing before Jeremy heads off to college.
Can't tell you how much we appreciate your class and the confidence it gave us. Many times we found ourselves thinking about what we learned and applying it. When we would stop now and then for a break one of us would say to the other, "Did you hear Tina yelling at you going through those tight curves, "LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME!!" Or 'DON'T LOOK DOWN". Ha.
Riding sure is addicting. Best of luck with your future classes. Thanks again.
Take care,
Jeff

Hi, Steve!
I'm riding my scooter to work (60 miles round trip). It was great to pull into the gas station last night and pay $4.50 for a fill up. My scoot gets 60 mpg. Just can't thank you enough for the class and your sweet encouragement during the class. I'm totally in my comfort zone on my scoot, yet doing my best to remember the SEE.
Thought you might enjoy seeing Bambi. She has a "tiger in her tank." I think she could climb the Tower of Babel if she had the chance. She weighs 2.5 pounds. At 3 pounds she's getting her front claws (only) removed. That will take the "wind out of her sails." She keeps all of us in stitches.
Blessings Upon you my friend. Tell Muffin "Hi" for me. He's laid back, funny, and also a great encourager during class. Sure hope God gives him a girlfriend soon!

Here is a picture of me getting ready to scoot off to work. With the gas prices, it's a good time to be on two wheels. (I know, I know, it's always a good time!)

Steve,
I just want to drop you a line and let you how much my brother and I enjoyed being trained by you and your staff. Your professional and relaxed attitudes helped, especially me; since I never drove a motorcycle before, to relax and perform your class room and course instructions without being intimated. Your staff had only our interests in mind by helping us to attain our goal of rider safety and to succeed.
I find myself being a safer automobile driver after the course, and once I purchase my first Harley, will practice the maneuvers your staff introduced to me in a quite street for a defined timeframe before I drive down to Kalamazoo to visit my brother and your staff once again.
Your grateful students,

Hi Steve,
Just wanted to thank you for the Michigan's Safest Riders class. I liked taking the book part of the class earlier (in the Winter) so I could concentrate more on the range part later. I think all of it at once would of been too much for me.
Thank you for all the encouragement and support you gave me during the range class. I really needed it and appreciated it! You were never critical, even though I'm sure you could of been...You are a great instructor!
Over the weekend, I downloaded the Manual from the Internet to study for the written test at the Secretary of State's office. Glad to say, I took it today and past!! Thanks to my great instructor...
Again, thanks for everything. Let me know if you need any computer help in the future.
Fran
